Kesit Support

Questions, problems and requests all go to one address.

Please say which version of macOS you are on and what you were doing. If something looked wrong on screen, a screenshot helps — you have a good tool for that.

Common questions

Kesit says it needs permission to record the screen.

macOS asks once, and only once. If you declined, the prompt will not come back — open System Settings, then Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording, and switch Kesit on. Kesit offers to open that page for you.

Where do my screenshots go?

Wherever you told Kesit to put them. Open Settings → General to choose between the clipboard, a folder, or both, and to pick the folder. Kesit asks for a folder the first time it needs to save one.

Kesit says it has lost access to my save folder.

macOS grants sandboxed apps access to a folder you picked, and that grant does not survive the folder being deleted or replaced. Choose the folder again in Settings and Kesit will remember it.

Can I change the keyboard shortcuts?

Yes — Settings → Shortcuts. Click a shortcut and press the keys you want. macOS reserves ⌘⇧3 to ⌘⇧6 for its own screenshots, so those combinations are not available to any app.

Why are my screenshots smaller than I expected?

Kesit captures at standard size by default, which keeps documents from growing four times larger than they need to. Settings → General → Image Size → Full Resolution captures at your display’s native resolution instead.

Can I change the language?

Settings → General → Language. Kesit restarts to apply it. Your system language is not affected.

How do I make Kesit start automatically?

Settings → General → Launch at Login. macOS may ask you to confirm the login item in System Settings the first time.

Can I install Kesit on more than one Mac?

Yes. A Mac App Store purchase is tied to your Apple Account, not to a device, and may be used on any Mac you own or control.

Does Kesit work on Intel Macs?

No. Kesit is built for Apple silicon only, and requires macOS 15 or later.

Refunds

Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are too. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We have no access to your purchase and cannot issue a refund ourselves — but do write to us anyway if something is wrong, because we would rather fix it.
