Kesit for macOS · Last updated 29 July 2026
Kesit does not collect personal data. It makes no network connections of any kind, and there is no server for it to connect to.
What we collect
Nothing. Kesit contains no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising identifiers and no crash reporting service. It does not ask you to create an account, because there is no account to create.
Your screenshots
Screenshots you take with Kesit are placed on your clipboard and, if you have chosen a folder, written to that folder on your own Mac. They are never uploaded anywhere. GÜNES CONSULTING OÜ has no access to them and no means of obtaining them.
Settings stored on your Mac
Kesit stores your preferences — capture destination, image size, language, keyboard shortcuts, and a reference to the folder you chose — in macOS user defaults on your own computer. This data never leaves your Mac. Removing Kesit removes it.
Screen Recording permission
macOS requires Screen Recording permission for any app that captures the screen, and Kesit is no exception. You grant it in System Settings and can withdraw it there at any time. Kesit uses it only to take the screenshots you ask for, at the moment you ask for them. It does not record continuously and does not observe your screen in the background.
Purchases
Kesit is sold through the Mac App Store, and purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We receive only the aggregate sales reporting Apple provides, which does not identify individual purchasers. We never see your name, email address or payment details. Apple’s own privacy policy governs that transaction.
Children
Kesit is rated 4+ and collects no data from anyone, of any age.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Should Kesit ever begin collecting anything at all, that change would be described here plainly and before it took effect — but we do not intend for that to happen.
